This course will not go into specifics of individual species but it will help you make pruning decisions based on your goals for the tree.

We will focus on woody plants and how pruning effects their growth response. 

It will help to have some knowledge about the plants you want to prune but that can all be gained from other resources such as books or on-line before or even after taking this course.
